Okay, um ehrlich zu sein hatte ich erst seit Weihnachten einen kleinen TobyMac-Hype (und er macht Musik, zu der man durch die Wohnung tanzen kann - yeah ;)). Doch "Burn For You" drückt so ein bisschen meine Zeit im Oktober/November aus...
Manchmal lebt man so vor sich hin. Und man lebt einfach so vor sich hin. Vielleicht wisst ihr was ich meine. Auf jeden Fall war das bei mir so. Viele Fragezeichen über Wochen und Monate, kaum Antworten, Stillstand. Und dann kam da diese kleine Anweisung von Gott, meine jetzige Wohnung zu kündigen. Nun, ich war ehrlich gesagt etwas erleichtert, dass endlich mal wieder etwas spontanes an der Reihe war, das gleichzeitig auch ein bisschen verrückt war. Also Wohnung gekündigt, mit einer Freundin zusammen eine Wohnung gesucht und gefunden um dort eine WG zu gründen. Das Besondere an der ganzen Sache: Gott hat mein Herz wieder für etwas zum schlagen gebracht! Er hat mir gezeigt, wofür die neue Wohnung sein soll. Gelebtes Mentoring, ein Ort der Begegnung und des Kennenlernens, ein Platz um Jesus zu begegnen und innerlich heil zu werden. Und mit diesen Visionen ist neues Leben in meine Adern gekommen. Nichts ist so cool, wie von Gott berührt zu werden!
Wenn ich auf die Zukunft schaue habe ich Angst, dass das Feuer in mir erlischt. Ich habe Angst, nicht das zu tun was ich erkannt habe, tun zu sollen. Und so stell ich mich auf einen Kampf ein. Einige Zeilen dieses Liedes sind auch ein Gebet für das nächste Jahr. "So won't you move me like you used to | I want the world to know I burn for you"...
